Length   8+ Hours

Course focuses on developing the skills, attitude and knowledge to safety and effectively fire a handgun.  Emphasis is given on the safe operation of revolvers and semi-auto handguns.  Topics include safety, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning the pistol and shooting positions,  Students will be given the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and course completion certificate.

Students are required to pass a written exam at the end of the course.

Students need to provide hearing  and eye protection.   Advanced Safety Dynamics will provide firearms and ammunition for the NRA Live Fire Exercises for this course.  If you do not have hearing and eye protection, you can rent electronic hearing protection and eye protection for $5.


Take Note

Classes are conducted in a desert environment.  Please bring hydration, sun screen, brimmed hat and sunglasses.  Regardless of the time of year, be cognizant of the Southern Nevada dry climate and the temperature changes that occur.


NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM AT ANY TIME!!!!!
